  • Yes! I provide online therapy (also known as teletherapy, telehealth, telemedicine, telemental health, virtual therapy) through video or phone. This is a great option if you have a busy schedule, or if you feel more at ease receiving support from the comfort of your own home. Many of my clients report that it’s so comforting to be in their own cozy space (often with a beloved pet nearby) while doing trauma work. My clients also enjoy the convenience factor of virtual sessions, and the ability to use their lunch break or another free hour to engage in therapy without the additional time required for the commute, finding parking, etc.

  • Andrea Bey, LMFT specializes in EMDR therapy, online EMDR therapy, trauma therapy, online therapy, and anxiety therapy for women in CA.

  • I am not contracted with any insurance companies directly.  However, I can provide you with a superbill, which you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement using your Out-of-Network benefits.

  • In 2020 I launched my private practice, where I focus on supporting adults in CA struggling with past trauma, current anxiety, stress management, and ADHD. I also specialize in EMDR therapy. Previously, from 2011 to 2021, I worked at a local community-based agency, starting as an in-home counselor and later advancing to roles as a social worker and therapist. During that time I supported children and families on their healing journey through various types of trauma and life disruptions.

  • I don't have a crystal ball (wouldn't that be cool?!), so I can't predict exactly how quickly you'll feel better. Sometimes it happens right away, but other times it takes weeks or even months to experience real relief. Therapy is a unique journey for everyone. Typically, when my clients commit to consistent weekly sessions, they start noticing significant improvements within about six months. We'll regularly discuss how therapy is working for you, assess your progress, and make adjustments to ensure we're meeting your needs.

*Good Faith Estimate

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises
